Christmastime in Paris

People often ask when is the best time to visit Paris, and as the saying goes , “Paris is always a good idea”. But there’s something about Paris at Christmas that’s magical. The marchés de Noël (Christmas markets), the aromas of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts in the streets, the hot chocolate, the department store window displays and of course the Christmas lights along the Champs Élysées. Even the Grinch would catch the spirit of Christmas in Paris. Here are a few photos from Noël in Paris 2021.

These ski lifts in Paris 6th arrondissement (shown above) were used as private dining booths at Place de l’Odéon. How amazing was that!

Champs Élysées was all decked out for the holidays.

In my favorite neighborhood, Saint Germain des Prés

The warm comfort foods at the Christmas markets were so good! Maroilles potatoes (left) and soupe à l’oignon (right)

It’s so pretty!!

Christmastime in Paris…

And of course Galeries Lafayette at Christmas
